Terms and conditions of sale
Packages are generally dispatched within 3-5 days after receipt of payment on retail orders and are shipped via USPS with tracking and drop-off without signature. If you prefer other delivery methods or wish to add delivery with signature or insurance, please leave a note at checkout indicating your request along with your paypal address so that we may invoice you separately. Any shipping overages paid at checkout will be refunded.
We highly recommend that you purchase insurance to cover any mistakes made by carriers during shipping. Sugar Ink is not liable for mistakes, damages, stolen or lost packages during transit to you. Insurance is included for all domestic flat rate priority mail for fabrics up to $50 in value.
Shipping fees include handling and packing fees as well as postage costs.
Returns and exchanges
We want you to be happy with your purchase. We do our best to inspect your yardage for flaws prior to shipping to you.
In the event we made a mistake, please contact us immediately. You have three (3) days or 72 hours after your package arrives to inspect your fabric and to contact us with any issues. If the issue is our mistake, we will pay shipping for both ways.
Any fabric purchased through RETAIL that has not been washed, cut or resold may be returned for a refund within 3 days of delivery. Shipping fees and payment process fees (if incurred) will not be refunded.
Lastly, we will always make sure to give generous amount of extra inches to account for shrinkage in transit. It is the nature of knit fabrics to relax off the bolt. Please know that it is not our intention to send out shortage fabrics to our customers. Therefore, it is important that you inspect your fabrics as soon as you receive them to remedy any issues ASAP. You have up to 72 Hours (3 days) to contact us with any problems and concerns you may have when you have received your fabrics.

Presale fabrics are custom fabrics which are manufactured and printed after the order has been place.
Every few months new designs are introduced and opened for presale at a discounted price. Designs and dates are announced through the Facebook Group Page and on the website. Presale orders take a minimum of 3 months. If major printing flaws and errors are found this will delay delivery of your order. All major flaws and errors will be disclosed through the Facebook Group Events Page for the printing round. In the event only a few orders are impacted, those impacted will receive a private message through Facebook and/or via email.
Common, minor printing flaws are not disclosed and compensated as they are considered a normal part of a small-production, custom digital printing process. Minor flaws are defined as follows:
- Imperfections of any size found within 6 inches of the selvage
- Imperfections (white dot, mark, uneven color/print) smaller than the size of a dime (18mm)
- Heathering (tiny white or speckle discoloration)
- Color variations of 10-15% from strike off samples of the same fabric. Please note that minky colors are more muted than jersey knit colors and that colors seen on your screen may also vary from the actual fabric colors.
All presale orders are final and cannot be cancelled or refunded after the close date of the presale round. However, presale orders may be sold to another individual as long as it is done before the order has shipped. Please send any of the admins a private message through Facebook to notify us of such changes. Any additional shipping charges resulting from the resale of the preorder will be invoiced through paypal to the new purchaser of the order.
Please note that if instock, retail items are purchased with presale items, your retail items will be held until the presale items arrive. If you wish to have the retail items shipped prior to the arrival of the presale fabric, please contact us with your paypal address so that we may invoice you for the additional shipping.
